Access Dental is there for all your child’s dental milestones
Children must stay up to date with their dental visits as their jaws and teeth are constantly growing and changing through the formative years of their lives. From their first tooth to their first dental visit, to orthodontic care, Access Dental is there for you.
When should you start taking your child to the dentist?
Between the ages of three and four. During the first years of your child’s life, it is not necessary to bring them in for a visit. Teething is a natural process that all babies go through, and it is important to let the teeth push through on their own.
For babies experiencing their first teeth, teething rings can help them during this time as well as small doses of children’s Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
As more teeth develop, you will want to brush your babies’ teeth with infant toothpaste.
What will their first dental care visit entail?
Our goal is to create a comfortable and friendly environment for your child. It is our goal to not have them fear a dental visit. A first visit is similar to a general dental exam. We will check for cavities and check to see if the teeth are developing properly. We will also teach the foundations and importance of regular brushing and flossing.
